    Great, but missing Leia

I mainly buy Lego for photos and I was excited to see a Bespin/Carbonite chamber set. It's a quick build and really cool mechanics including the chamber - I don't really use these features, but for a kid it should be a lot of fun. Would have loved to see a full 360º set, but that would have doubled the cost I'm sure (might buy another one anyway to piece together). And the only other thing I wish they had included, as many have mentioned, is a Bespin Leia minifig. Overall a good value though and it's been fun to shoot!

is set holds up as a good set, with good minifigures and the main thing: very affordable! Boba fett was the main reason I bought this set and he didn't dissapoint me with great printing even on his shoulder pad. The Ugnaught was better than I expected and the torso was very useful. Hann solo is by far the worst minifugre of this whole set because the lack of new printing, old hair piece and overall being bad. The build however is pretty nice. It's play features work very smoothly, my favourite being the elevator for some reason. It is very small but being $29.99CAD it is worth it. Overall this set is a must hae for a fan of the ''good'' Star Wars trilogy.

This was such a fun set to build! It only took about 40 minutes, but it was quite a challenging build comparatively, due to the many play features this set includes: the main mechanism for lowering and twirling Han Solo when he is put in carbonite, the lift on the right hand side, and the "jail cell" with the Murphy style bed on the left hand side. The finished set looks great, and manages to be both a good display piece, and a set you can play with. Pros: - Boba Fett is a fantastic minifigure! - Han Solo in carbonite looks great - The Ugnaught minifigure looks great, and as far as I know, this is the only set where you can get it - Really fun play features - Good display piece - Good value Cons: - Would have been better as a larger and more expensive set, with the full platform and including Princess Leia, Chewbacca with C-3PO on his back, Lando Calrissian, R2-D2, Vader etc. My husband noticed that Kylo Ren was on the box, which is confusing, but I see that Lego has explained this in a response to a review further down. Turns out all the new sets have the same band across the top and that's why Kylo Ren appears on an Empire Strikes Back set. One suggestion to Lego regarding the manual: Use the Lego figure you use to explain why building Lego using the numbered bags is a good idea (the guy looking very happy as he empties one bag at a time) to explain that the tiny plastic bag containing eight pieces (!) is actually only needed for the one single piece you attach to Boba Fett's helmet. You get three spare parts of this, which is very nice of Lego, but you also get four random bits that I have no idea what they're for. All in all, I would definitely recommend this set to Star Wars Lego fans!

My girlfriend and I love the original Star Wars trilogy, especially Empire. So when I saw this set, I knew it was a must buy because you get the Han Solo in carbonite without having to buy the Slave 1 set. The build is fast and easy, and the value is good with several minifigs. So I'm going to focus specifically on the critique here. The box: Featured prominently on the front of the box is the image of Kylo Ren. Let's see...he's not in that movie. Not even in the original trilogy. In fact not even in the first 6 movies. @Lego, this is a huge discrepancy and frankly, it should have been Vader if anyone in that spot. What were you thinking? The minifigs: Watch the original film and you'll see the key players in this scene missing are Leia most importantly, and Vader, and a few stormtroopers. Plus a few more ugnaughts and don't forget about C-3PO and R2. So Lego...why not give us the whole set to create the scene? This is a fail, and so I used the my Vader keychain to round it out, and an R2 and C-3PO I already had...but sadly no Leia. However I would have paid more to get the full character set included. The set itself: Again, watch the film and this set is so inaccurate you have to wonder what the designers were looking at. Most notably...the stairs go up from the left side...not down. Once I finished building, I wondered why this looked so bizarre, and that was it! To add a few more things...the lift that Luke later takes is round, not square, and Han doesn't tilt back into carbon freeze, he drops down, then is lifted by a crane. This could have been solved by another elevator type device instead of the technic pieces used to tilt him back (inaccurate) and turn him. Lastly...the bizarre Han storage area. What's really cool is that you put the Han minfig into the carbonite, lower it, turn it, then up comes Han in carbonite. So why the secondary storage for Han underneath the ugnaught? It makes no sense, and I would have preferred to have had those parts (part count) used elsewhere, or frankly the entire circular platform around the freezing chamber in tact instead. Needless to say, I heavily rebuilt this set and plan on doing more to it once I get some more pieces to complete my work. Note: The set comes with a small perforated bag of very tiny parts. You will only see one of the pieces used on Boba Fett's helmet. However, the parts are 2 sets of duplicates...all for attaching to Fett's helmet 1 at a time.

First and foremost thank you for your awesome honest review. Let’s get right down to it and talk about your review. The first thing you had mentioned was the box. Our Star Wars™ boxes has a new image every couple of years depending what is going on in the Star Wars Universe. So yes Kylo Ren is on the front of the box due to Episode 7 coming out last year, even though he is not defiantly not in that part of the story line for the set, he was a part of the marketing for this particular run of the Star Wars products. Second that was mentioned were the minifigures. Yes like many of our LEGO Fans the minifigures are huge hit. In this set that is no different, our Star Wars design team wanted to put many more figures into the set, but since characters are redesigned it would of driven the cost of the set up due to molding and printing of the figure. The designers make their best attempts to keep the cost of sets down and the play value high. We always love to hear what our fans have to say about sets. We will make sure that your reviews gets passed along to the Star Wars team, as the best is only good enough and hearing what our fans have to say only makes a better company. Thank you again for your review.
