Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Train Station So Far I got this new Train Station set a couple of weeks ago and it's really great. It is a big upgrade from the last LEGO Train Station. The new platform is very long and the flat, round yellow plates that are on the edge of the platform look very nice. The small roof that covers a little part of the platform and track looks sleek and really adds to the look of the station. There are only stairs to the platform on the side with the snack bar and none on the other side which I think is kind of weird and could have easily been added on to the set. The snack bar with the chef is very nice. The menu boards are stickers, but they have nice looking lettering and pictures. Also, there is a variety of food and drink pieces, including a coffee maker. Although a train station doesn't seem like a spot for a LEGO store, it does look good in the building. The set comes with a new ticket machine that uses a hinge piece as a dispenser and also there is another train map. The map and machine are connected and it makes for a good looking section of the station. The new "A" shaped pieces in my opinion are a nice new piece and adds to the look. There is a good amount of track (4 pieces). Finally, the taxi cab has a much sleeker look than the previous one, but only has a 2x4 space for two people two sit, so it is very cramped. Overall, the set is very nice and I like it a lot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Train Station This is an excellent Lego set, vaguely similar to my childhood favourite of Lego set (7822 Railway Station) - so I was keen to see how it compared to that Lego classic. It's very impressive. though it loses the stairs and detail of the cross track bridge from the earlier set, the detail of the rest of the set more than makes up for it. It's a fairly straightforward build - the set guidance says 5-12, and that's probably pitched about right. My 5 year old son found it OK to do, though he did have to concentrate at a few places, and there are some bits that require a bit of dexterity to put together, like the connection to the track, and under platform support blocks onto the platform. I quite like the mix of the build - you've got some fairly repetitive sections, like the building of the platform base, but these work quite well when you know you are creating a base for something else. Once the platform is built, first thing you build is the cafe, this is a great wee section, with coffee machine, glass counter facing, and juice bottles. The other main part is the Lego shop - loved this as well - though I generally don't like too big pieces, the front windows of the shop are excellent, and the detail of the wee Lego boxes is brilliant. The station is finished off nicely by benches and dustbins, and a wee bridge to the other side. You also get a good amount of minifigs (5), and other wee accessories, plus a small taxi, so it's an excellent set. My son has enjoyed building and re-building a few times - next time I think we'll work together on trying to improve it by adding a platform at the other side, plus some stairs over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set Build was very easy and rewarding. Adds nicely with the other Lego Train sets I have put together. One of the nicest Train stations built so far, and great price considering you get 4 straight lengths of track.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NEXT STOP IS: LEGO CITY After a tiring 4 hour journey across the beautiful countryside, your high-speed train has chugged into LEGO City Train Station. As the doors fling open, passengers surge out onto the solid brick-built platform to find a wonder of delights that surround them. Chef Gaspacho is busy at work in the small kiosk sell all kinds of tasty treats from sandwiches to hotdogs. The queue has backed half way down the platform! A small LEGO Store catches your eye inside the station building. The doors crash open and you lay your eyes on the many New and Exclusive sets on offer. Your hand reaches down for the Cargo Train and you place it on the counter. "That's £139.99, please" says Isabelle in an angelic voice. With 4 harmonic bleeps on the PIN machine, your train collection is complete. Seconds later the loud boom of the tannoy announces your next train home. The sleek train wooshes it to the station. The bright orange train comes to a halt and you sit comfortably on the plush chairs. Slowly it pulls out from LEGO City Train Station and takes your further on your journey. . .
