When joining the LEGO VIP Program, you must agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Therefore, it is important that you read the Terms and Conditions carefully before you join the LEGO VIP Program.

What is the LEGO VIP Program?

The purpose of the LEGO VIP Program is to provide members of the program with certain benefits in connection with the purchase of LEGO products from shop.LEGO.com or LEGO Stores.

Who can become a member of the LEGO VIP Program?

You can only become a member of the LEGO VIP Program if you are aged eighteen (18) years or over and a legal resident of the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States of America.

How can I join the LEGO VIP Program?

You can join the LEGO VIP Program by signing up with a Store Associate at your local LEGO Store, by signing up here or by calling Customer Service at 1-800-835-4386.

You can sign up online or in a LEGO Store. If you sign up at a LEGO Store, you will be asked to confirm your sign-up by email. Further online registration of your membership is not required to fully enjoy the benefits of the program. However, further online registration of your membership is still needed if you wish to earn VIP Points shopping on shop.LEGO.com or check your points balance and transaction history online.

What information do I need to provide?

In order to join the LEGO VIP Program, you must provide the LEGO Group with the following information at the time you sign up:
(i) A member name (first and last name),
(ii) valid email,
(iii) mailing address, and
(iv) phone number

Please note that, in order to join the LEGO VIP program online or to earn points while shopping on shop.LEGO.com or checking your points balance and transaction history, you need to sign in with a LEGO ID. See how you get a LEGO ID below.

You must ensure that you keep your email address operational, and notify us if you change it. In case you fail to do so, you may not receive important program notifications from us.

What is a LEGO ID and how do I get a LEGO ID?

A LEGO ID is a user profile that can be used together with the LEGO Group's digital services. The LEGO ID is required if you wish to earn points shopping on shop.LEGO.com or check your points balance and transaction history online. The LEGO ID is free and can be obtained by signing up here. You must provide your date of birth and a valid email address to register for a LEGO ID.

When you join the VIP Program in a LEGO Store or over the phone you will need to create a LEGO ID and do an online registration of your VIP membership to be able to earn VIP Points shopping on shop.LEGO.com as well as checking your points balance and transaction history. If you choose to join the LEGO VIP Program by signing up online, you will be asked to sign in to your LEGO ID account, or to create a LEGO ID. If you need to create a LEGO ID, follow the step-by-step instructions provided online.

At various times during the year, you may have the opportunity to earn additional VIP points when you complete the online registration. This is at the discretion of the LEGO Group and these opportunities will be announced as part of promotional activities.

How do I receive my VIP Card?

If you join the LEGO VIP Program in store, you will receive a VIP Card at that time. You will have to use the VIP Card and/or the card number to enjoy the advantages of VIP Members.

If you join the LEGO VIP Program online or by phone, and you live in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom or the United States, your VIP Card will be sent to your home address within forty (40) days. If you sign up for the LEGO VIP Program online or by phone, and you live in a country other than those listed above, you will receive an email with your membership details.

Do I need to register my VIP Card number?

If you join the LEGO VIP Program via a LEGO Store or phone order, online registration is not required to enjoy the benefits of the program. However, if you wish to earn VIP Points shopping on shop.LEGO.com, check your points balance and transactional history online, you need to create a LEGO ID and register the VIP Card number online.

If you join the LEGO VIP Program by signing up online, the VIP Card number is registered automatically.

How will LEGO Group use personal data and other data relating to me?

When you join the LEGO VIP Program, the processing of your personal data is subject to the LEGO.com Privacy Policy. You can read the Privacy Policy by clicking here.

By joining the LEGO VIP Program, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted the LEGO.com Privacy Policy and the use of your personal information that follows from the privacy policy and these Terms and Conditions.

How will the LEGO Group use my personal information?

The LEGO Group will use the personal information provided by the user for the purpose of maintaining and operating the VIP program and your membership.

In addition, the LEGO Group will also use the personal information provided by you to send you marketing materials and communications as well as occasional postal mailings and questionnaires.

The LEGO Group is sharing your personal information with trusted third parties in order to enable the operation and maintenance of the program and your membership as well as facilitating sending you marketing materials. If you do not wish to receive marketing communications through email or postal mail from the VIP Team, you may contact Customer Service at 1-800-835-4386. You can also use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any promotional email to unsubscribe from such communications. Please note that you will continue to receive transactional and other non-marketing email messages pertaining to your account for the duration of your VIP program membership.

How do I earn points?

You can earn LEGO VIP Points every time you make an eligible purchase of LEGO products in a LEGO Store or on the LEGO Shop website. Eligible purchases are defined as any service or merchandise available for purchase, excluding gift cards. (You will not earn VIP Points upon purchase of a gift card, but when a gift card is used by a VIP member to make an eligible purchase, the VIP member using the gift card will earn VIP Points.)

To earn LEGO VIP Points for purchases in LEGO Stores, you must provide your LEGO VIP Card at the time of the purchase.

To earn LEGO VIP Points for online purchases at the LEGO Shop website, you will need to sign in to your LEGO ID account before shopping online.

To earn LEGO VIP Points for telephone purchases, your LEGO VIP membership will need to be registered, and you must provide your VIP Card number when placing the order over the phone.

What if I earn VIP Points before completing the registration?

It is possible for you to earn VIP Points as soon as you have signed up for a LEGO VIP membership and before your online registration is completed. However, your VIP Points cannot be redeemed until the registration has been completed. Note that if a VIP member does not register their membership within one year of joining the VIP Program, any VIP Points earned prior to registration will expire, and the account balance will be reset to zero.

If you sign up at a LEGO Store, online registration is not required to be able to redeem points in store and points won’t expire after 1 year. However, it’s still needed if you’d like to earn VIP Points shopping on shop.LEGO.com or check your points balance and transaction history online.

VIP Points cannot be awarded on purchases made before joining the LEGO VIP Program.

How many memberships of the LEGO VIP Program may I have?

Your membership is personal to you and you may only have one membership at the time. If we discover that you have multiple memberships of the LEGO VIP Program this will be deemed as a violation of these terms and conditions and we reserve the right to close down your accounts and you may lose your points.

What if I am not the only one in my family with a LEGO VIP Membership? Are there any special advantages?

If some of your family members have a LEGO VIP Membership, it is possible to link your LEGO VIP Account with their LEGO VIP Accounts to create a Family Membership. By doing so, all points earned from you and your family members will enter a point's pool, from which any linked family member can redeem.

Family members are defined as persons aged eighteen (18) years or older, living at the same physical mailing address as you. It is only possible to create a Family Membership with persons that comply with this definition.

Each family member expressly agrees that it authorizes every other family member to dispose of the pool of points individually. The LEGO Group is not responsible for the misuse of points by family members.

Where can I use the LEGO VIP Program?

The LEGO VIP Program may be used for purchases made online at shop.LEGO.com, by telephone, and at LEGO Stores. Shops at LEGOLAND® Parks and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers, LEGO Store Shanghai and LEGO Certified Stores do not participate in the LEGO VIP Program, which means LEGO VIP Points cannot be earned (or redeemed) in these locations.

How many points do I earn?

Earn 1 Point for every $1 spent. Redeeming 100 Points qualifies a VIP member for a discount of $5.

Eligible purchases are defined as any service or merchandise available for purchase, excluding gift cards.

Applicable postage/shipping charges are excluded from point earnings. If you make a purchase in United States or Canada, taxes are excluded.

What is the value of the VIP Points?

VIP Points do not have a cash value; VIP Points may be accumulated to earn members a discount on eligible purchases.

Do I earn VIP Points when I make purchases with a gift card?

Yes, you will earn VIP Points on purchases made with gift cards.

When will I receive my VIP Points?

Earned VIP Points will be added to your LEGO VIP Account at the time of payment. Please note that, when you order over the phone or online, payment occurs when your order is shipped.

It may take up to twenty-four (24) hours after payment before the earned VIP Points appear on your account.

When can I redeem my VIP Points?

Once your points balance reaches 100 points, you may redeem your points at a LEGO Store, online at shop.LEGO.com or over the phone. You may not redeem your points at a LEGOLAND Park, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, LEGO Store Shanghai or LEGO Certified Stores.

You may choose to accumulate points. You will receive a discount of $5 for every 100 points you accumulate.

When you make a purchase and redeem VIP Points, you will earn additional VIP points based on the total amount you paid, after the discount is applied, not on the full purchase price prior to applying the VIP discount.

Can I redeem points on the same purchase upon which they are earned?

No, it is not possible to redeem VIP Points during the same transaction in which they are earned.

Can I use VIP Points towards the purchase of gift cards?

No, points may not be redeemed against the purchase of gift cards (plastic or electronic). However, when you use the balance on a gift card for a purchase, you will earn VIP Points.

Can I use the VIP Points in all countries?

VIP Points can only be redeemed in countries where the LEGO VIP Program is available.

VIP Points can be used in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The VIP discount will be calculated using the VIP Points value for that country. Note that the LEGO Group considers it misuse of the VIP Program for a member to seek to manipulate the VIP Program to the member’s advantage by earning VIP Points in one country and redeeming them, or shipping purchases made by redeeming them, to a different country. Occasional purchases such as this will not result in punitive measures, but a pattern of such activity may result in termination of a member’s VIP account.

Can I redeem VIP Points for cash?

No, VIP Points have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for cash. In cases where the discount earned through redemption of VIP Points exceeds the value of the purchase, change will not be given.

Can I buy extra VIP Points?

No, VIP Points cannot be purchased, transferred or redeemed for cash.

What if I need to return a product from which I have earned VIP Points?

If you return products for refund, any points earned for the purchase will be deducted from your account balance, and any points redeemed will be added to your account balance.

Do my VIP Points expire if they are not redeemed?

Yes, all VIP Points expire on the date of 31 December two (2) years after the year in which they were earned. For any jurisdiction which (currently or in the future) prohibits points from expiring due only to passage of time, then the points shall only expire for persons resident in such jurisdiction if no VIP Points were accrued during the preceding 2-year period.

If you sign up at a LEGO Store, online registration is not required to fully enjoy the benefits of the program.

What if I lose my VIP Card?

If your VIP Card is lost or stolen, you must contact Customer Service for a replacement card. Please note that you will be asked security questions related to your VIP account to process your request. The lost card will be deactivated and replaced by a new one.

Will I be reminded before the expiry of my VIP Points?

Yes, you will be notified three (3) months prior to the expiry of any VIP Points.

How do I cancel my membership?

You may cancel your membership by contacting Customer Service by going to the Customer Service contact webpage, sending an email to ShopTermsAndConditions@LEGO.com or calling 1-800-835-4386. When you contact Customer Service, you will be asked security questions related to your account to verify that it is your VIP Account.

Are there any consequences if I do not comply with these Terms and Conditions?

If you fail to meet or observe any of these Terms and Conditions, the LEGO Group reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate your VIP Membership with immediate effect.

No compensation will be offered for points earned if your VIP Membership is terminated.

What if VIP Points are credited to my account by mistake?

The LEGO Group reserves the right to cancel or remove points which have been issued to your account by mistake or due to a system or human error. The LEGO Group will not tolerate knowing misuse of the system when/if an error in the number of points occurs and such misuse will lead to termination of the member's account and a ban from future use.

Can the LEGO Group cancel or make substantial changes to the LEGO VIP Program?

Yes, the LEGO Group reserves the right to cancel or substantially modify the LEGO VIP Program at any time. If the LEGO Group does so, you will be notified via email two (2) months prior to the cancellation of the VIP Program or substantial modifications of the VIP Program that will have a negative material impact on your ways of earning or spending points.

The notice period is always subject to applicable statutory local law.

Can the LEGO Group be held responsible for any misuse or hacking of my LEGO VIP Membership?

No, the LEGO Group cannot be held responsible for any misuse, hacking etc. of your LEGO VIP Membership account. Further, the LEGO Group cannot be held liable for any loss or damage arising from such misuse, hacking etc. The use of the LEGO VIP Membership is solely at your own risk.

If you become aware of misuse or suspected misuse of your LEGO VIP Account, you should immediately contact the LEGO Group.

What law will apply?

To the extent not excluded by mandatory laws, you agree that Danish law, excluding private international laws, will exclusively govern your participation in the LEGO VIP Program, including the application and interpretation of these Terms and Conditions for the LEGO VIP Program, and any dispute arising between you and the LEGO Group in relation to your participation in the LEGO VIP Program.

To the extent not excluded by mandatory laws, any dispute arising in connection with your participation in the LEGO VIP Program, including the application and interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, must exclusively be brought before a competent court in Denmark.
