Rated 4 out of 5 by from Glam-, Caveman, and Vacation Bat, King Tut I've never been a minifigures collector before, but after seeing the cool variety from the Batman Movie, I wanted to get some of these. Unfortunately, "feeling out" the bags is difficult if you've never done it before. It's also kind of awkward when you're doing it in the middle of a Wal-Mart and all the non-LEGO-collecting passersby are looking at you weird. So I just grabbed four of the ones that felt like they had big pieces in them, since most of the ones I thought were cool had some big pieces. I was really hoping for Red Hood, but alas, I should have felt around longer for a large dome piece. Still, I was quite pleased with my haul. Glam-Bat is just great for posing in a rock-star fashion (I can just see him singing "An Untitled Self-Portrait" from the LEGO Movie). Clan of the Caves Batman is pretty cool, although he is my least favorite of the bunch. King Tut is great -- I'm a big fan of the '60s show, and this minifig captures Victor Buono's likeness quite well. The best one of all is the hugely popular Vacation Batman. He's so ridiculous, and his Ducky-ring is a beautifully crafted piece. Although I liked each of these figures, I was a bit disappointed in the quality of material. The capes were the old-fashioned cloth that creases really easily. The printing wasn't great on the Vacation Batman's face (fortunately, it's covered by the mask, but still). For $3.99 -- plus tax -- a pop, I wish they'd added a little more quality, especially with the capes. Oh well. Still worth the buy. And the dual-molded pieces are very cool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Penguin, Ridler, Mr.Freeze, oh where? Despite the title I LOVE these. It's the biggest set so far I think at 20 characters. Spent an hour at the shop feeling each bag until I got them all. They are very detailed and so fun to display. Two big thumbs up. My only wish was that the set included some of the bigger characters like the Penguin, Ridler, Mr Freeze, Cat woman, etc. I think people wouldn't have mind this set containing 24 or 28 figures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yay for Obscure Villains! I'm very glad LEGO decided to not only make a Minifigures Series including goofy, unknown Batman characters, but also one with four extra slots! I got six minifigures I most wanted from this series. Commissioner Barbara Gordon has incredible printing on her uniform. The plastic of the fig and dual-molding on the cap/hairpiece is good quality. Zodiac Master has awesome gold decals on his "pajamas", and I like how accurate he is to the comics. The Eraser has a brilliant new head mold that made him easy to identify through the bag. March Harriet is a little plain, but I like the colors of her outfit, and the face. Off-duty/lobster-toting Batman is real unique and funny. The lobster is my new favorite LEGO-animal brick, and Bruce's robes have a wonderful pattern. Catman is the final one I got, and I greatly appreciate the boots, cowl and torso for him. Although I do not own them, I wanted to talk about a few other minifigures from this wave. I am honestly disappointed with the recycled shark mask for Orca, as it has gills and a vertical tail fin, uncharacteristic of dolphins. Still good printing, just a bit rushed on that one design. I'm not a fan of the different Batsuits myself, but I recognize why others might buy them. I also want to voice a complaint about the Nurse Harley Quinn fig... I think it just looks terrible; I wish her place in the 20 characters had been taken by, honestly, just about any other DC villain out there. All other minifigures from this series that I have not brought up yet, I think are just okay; Not the greatest, but still adequate. Employees at my LEGO Store were very helpful with restocking the fast-disappearing mystery bags. One offered to help search for the minifigures on my "want" list! The manager answered all questions I had about products and store events, check-out was speedy, and I was greeted on the way in. I'm very pleased with my visit and purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great series! If there's one thing my kids love as much as LEGO itself, it's Batman, so this series has been eagerly anticipated in our household for months. Twenty figures and all are great! Love the ducky Batman and Batman ballerina especially. It's a nice mix of characters, crooks and variations on Batman. Not a dud among them. Great detail and accessories. (The Joker's giant frown makes me smile.) Can't wait to collect the sets and see the film on release. Great job, LEGO! Keep them coming.
