Bigger than I thought!I was very excited for this set because it said it had three dinosaurs in one set for a very reasonable price! There's actually four dinosaurs in the set, a bonus Brachiosaurus that I will leave to others to explain how to get the instructions. I was very surprised by the quality of this set. I had expected this to be smaller than what I have now because of the small size of the box. I was delighted of seeing that it was actually pretty big, which is always better. I was also surprised by the durability of this set, it was way more durable than I had imagined. The jaws do not fall apart easily, it was actually pretty easy to make it stand on its feet without it falling. The foot claw pieces are very sharp, so I always am careful when handling the set. It was very posable, even my sister made it so that the Tyrannosaur's head was upside down and curving up, while the tail was curved all the way, almost touching the back! It was a fun set to build, and a fun set to play with. The building instructions were fun, with the T. Rex looking like a giant lizard, with its feet sprawled. Then we curved the legs into the natural position, and it was almost done. Then, put the head and neck in, and it's done. It was short, but fun, and basically all my lego sets have five stars. No lego sets are bad. All of them are very durable and have good quality. Very good set. Bravo.

Perfect Set for Alternative BuildsMy 2-year-old daughter picked this set out as a birthday present for me. We built it together and she had a blast playing with the final product. It has a lot of play factor. But for me, the value in this set is the number of alternative builds you can make with this set. In addition to the T-Rex, Triceratops, and Pterodactyl; I have also built a brontosaurus and an ankylosaurus. I'm working on a stegosaurus next.

DinosaurOur Grandson loves dinosaurs and legos what could go wrong? Really nothing did, except part way into the first go at building we found "we" were two parts short, not what you want to find when you're closing in on the first build option in the kit. We exchanged our set for another set the next day and our Grandson decided he would like to build it himself. I suppose we were slowing him down. In two hours he built three of the four configurations. He's six and this was his first set of more than a dozen pieces. Our G-son is severely ADHD and he has PTSD yes you read that right. He was captivated just being alone with his thoughts and the challenge of the age 7-12 build set. He was calm, cool, and exhausted at the end of the evening he went to bed without rancor and arguing. The most peaceful evening, the only peaceful evening we've had in weeks. We pray the magic continues, we need the break in the mental gymnastics that never end; and he desperately needs the self esteem from accomplishment, and the peace of mind. Praise the Lord, and thanks Legos!
