Get up close to Big Ben! The clock was first started on May 31st 1859, and Big Ben’s first chime rang from the 96-meter Elizabeth Tower on July 11th of the same year. This over 23” (60cm) high LEGO® interpretation of the iconic structure is a tribute to its engineering and architecture. It features a detailed facade with statues, shields and windows, and a clock tower with 4 adjustable clock dials and a removable roof allowing access to the belfry, plus buildable exterior elements including a sidewalk, lawn and a tree depicting the building’s location. This model makes a great display piece for the home or office.

  • Big Ben features a detailed section of the Westminster Palace and the adjoining Elizabeth Tower, 4 detailed clock dials with movable hour and minutes hands, and a sidewalk, tree and grass area depicting the building’s location.
  • Remove the top of the tower to access the Big Ben bell.
  • Put your LEGO® building skills to the test!
  • Special elements include 4 printed clock faces.
  • Rare elements include ski poles, flowers and corner plates in molded gold color, and tinted-translucent elements.
  • This set includes over 4,000 LEGO® pieces.
  • This set offers an age-appropriate building experience for ages 16+.
  • Big Ben measures over 23” (60cm) high, 17” (44cm) wide and 7” (20cm) deep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lot of fun Pretty quick build, very repetitive. Once finished though it just looks simply amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Set The appeal of this set (whilst outside of my usual Lego Star Wars preference) was based on the Expert level and the amazing price point per piece. This actually led me to calling up the lego store weeks in advance trying in vain to reserve a set as I was sure they would sell out quickly. I wasn't disappointed! I bought the set on 15th June and rushed home to put it together. It was a very fiddly build with a lot of small pieces and I would advise enthusiasts to take their time with the build and ensure alignment of the small pieces (like the small tooth-like caps) so that the finished build is as perfect as possible. Pros- Price for a 4k+ piece set Level of building complexity Attention to detail (the minifig statues and golden flowers especially) Cons- Would have been nice if the rear of the set matched the front (if only for a more complex build and different display options) The clock turning mechanism could be a little smoother - If Lego had thought to add a working clock addition to this as an optional extra then I bet every purchaser would buy it!) The change in recent years of the green baseplate colour kinda ruins the base as it is the luminous green now used so doesn't accurately reflect what grass would look like Summary- Awesome set and a very enjoyable build. Good pricepoint and, if I compare to the Taj Mahal, whilst it isn't the biggest set released by lego it is a lot more attractive as a model. The set is huge! A great display piece but certainly not a plaything (fine by me).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and challenging, but also repetitive. I felt I had to include the repetitive part in my title. A previous review said this model has "almost no repetition" which is a completely false statement. If anything, like the tower bridge, this model is extremely repetitive, to the point where I was batch building the same assets over and over (see pics) However, that's not a bad thing, with a little patience it's totally worth it for the end result. I don't think I own a more detailed, beautiful model. If I step back a couple of meters it almost doesn't look like it's Lego. It's comprised mainly of smaller pieces, so expect a fiddly, challenging build, but a rewarding one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exquisite Detail This model achieves a high level of architectural detail by using a large number of small pieces, many of them used in very creative ways. The build is excellent and challenging, you have to pay attention. The person who designed this model really knew what he or she was doing. There is a lot of repetition, but I did not find that a problem because the end result is so rewarding. So rewarding in fact, that I built a second model in mirror reverse, left to right, and truncating the Elizabeth Tower to create a Parliament Buildings complex. Adding a base to the models created a more massive appearance. We can only hope that this model signifies a new Lego program to produce additional classical European style architectural structures. Westminster Abby maybe?
