Amazing replica, cool suspension, lotsof funI did not expect this to be as much fun as it is.
The model goes together quickly and the suspension is a thing of beauty. I was amused at the kick stand, never thought of doing it the way they did.
The designer of this model deserves some serious praise. The cycle feels sturdy, and can take a fall down a flight of stairs.
It looks great, feels sturdy and is more fun than I expected from it, greaat job Lego.

BMW R 1200 GS AdventureI really like this set, it was a gift from my mother in law.
What I would improve is:
Needs a seat, seems like someone from LEGO would have said "dude where is the seat?"
Front windshield doesn't come close to being like the BMW windshield, they might as well left it out instead of this little thing.
Other than that I really like tis model.
Bonus!!! Fits the LEGO Technic STAR WARS Characters perfectly! It's like it was made for Jango Fette!

From An Owner of BothI owned a 2008 BMW GS Adventure which I took across the country and back solo. I was excited to see LEGO great this set and was excited to build it. I loved the detail put into the boxer engine as well as the Technic links to ensuring replication of the bike's own final drive (shaft). A nice surprise was the top and side cases which, like my real bike, were functional and brought the look of the model together. I was also happy to see that LEGO made an effort to replicate the unique shock and steering mechanism with the bike - a demonstration that it's not just any bike, it's a GS.
My critique would be, given they had the space and a way to connect, is to develop and include an appropriate build for the main and pillion seat. I'm not sure if this was sacrificed for the price point, but it's barely a complaint for such a nice set that was a joy to build.

BMW R 1200 GS AdventureI managed to get a great deal on this set and really enjoyed the build. Great features and details. I also picked up an Obi-wan buildable figure (minus cape) so I could reunite Ewan McGregor with the bike from his travels. Thanks to MorningWon for the idea of using a Star Wars builable figure as a rider. The scale is almost perfect.
