Well worth the money!I am a huge Harry Potter fan,and I was over the moon when I saw new releases at Target. I missed out on them with the last release, only getting a couple of the sets.
I bought this set with the plan of putting it together with my 9-year-old son. He loves Lego, I love HP, it was a match made in heaven.
This set is easy enough to put together, though the legs might require a strong pair of hands to snap into place. It took us about an hour to put together, but that was with lots of talking. Instructions are easy to follow, which has been my experience with most Lego sets.
The mini figures are adorable. The faces have two sides - happy face and "OMG! SPIDERS! ALL THE SPIDERS!" face. There are plenty of spiders to go around. The biggest issue I have is that they are so adorable that my kids are going to steal them from me.
I adore this set, and I recommend it to anyone who loves Harry Potter. Learn from my mistake. Buy it now before they are GONE!

Classic Harry Potter SceneI have been a Harry Potter fan since the books first came out. I have several of the original Harry Potter Lego sets and I was very pleased to see some new sets being released this year.
This is a very well priced set with two great minifigures Ron and Harry. I really like the new lantern and candle pieces that are included with the set as well. Although the lantern is a bit heavy for the short-legged minifigures so they will need to be on a baseplate to stand while holding it.
The new spider mold makes great looking spiders and you get five of them in two different colors!
Most of the build is quite easy and there is a friction shooter piece that allows you to shoot a web. Aragog himself is a bit more difficult to build and to get all the legs positioned well. However, it does allow for a lot of movement of the figure. It took me a little bit to get all the legs positioned to all be touching the ground.
The forest build is a bit small but it does have some nice detail. It provides a decent backdrop for the scene as well as a place for a couple of those great small spiders.
This is a great set for any Harry Potter fan to own. It is inexpensive and very fun to build. It has some good playability for younger fans and also looks great as a display piece for us older fans.

It's back and better than ever.Wow! I was not disappointed with this set.
£13 for 157 pieces, that's a p:p ratio to remember. And this set includes most of the new Harry Potter pieces. A total of 4 wands, the new hair for Harry, the Lantern piece and the two piece candle are all great pieces. Getting the new spider piece in Nougat and Black make for great reusability. The "Giant Spiders, they're everywhere" expressions on the figures faces are a treat to use in display.
Overall a great reintroduction to the Wizarding World.

The Best Set Under $20I am a huge Harry Potter fan, so when the theme was returning, I knew I had to get all the sets. This was the first one I got, and this set tells me I have to buy all the other sets. Since this set is so small, I am just going list why you should buy this set, and why you shouldn’t.
Why to buy this set:
- A cheap way to get Harry and Ron
- Includes Aragog, which I think is the best looking one yet
- Great pieces (lantern, wands, 5 spiders, printed dish piece, candle, and printed eyes for Aragog)
- Great price, as the price to part ratio is good and has a lot of stuff to enjoy
- Great playability, collectibility, and display ability
Why not to buy the set:
- The plants on the tree feel too bright for the Dark Forest
- The web shooting feature is a bit difficult to activate, and often gets stuck, limiting the firing range but you can leave that out and not use the feature
- The tree build looks a bit plain because of the lack of foliage and the area in front of the tree looks plain, but putting some spiders or pieces from your own collection can solve the problem
Overall, this does more than it needs to by providing an easy and quick build, play possibilities, and things you usually find in bigger sets (like casual Harry and Ron minifigures). So, just a great set and a must buy for all Harry Potter fans.
