Rated 2 out of 5 by from Display Look + Price = Not a great set As all of us are I am a huge lego fan -- in particular Star Wars sets. It is a rare miss for lego with big Star Wars set but unfortunately, this is one of them. First, the pros: minifigs are amazingly detailed and really good. The cloud car is pretty cool as well as Slave 1. Lastly, playability is none stop as there are many rooms to play in if you are a younger lego fan or older I guess there is not a problem with playing after all! Now the cons: I am sorry, I know there is a premium on Star Wars branded items but this is not worth $350.00 for me. I really do not know who Lego was targeting here. It is not technically UCS but Master Builder which would justify the price I guess but with this price, I need to be able to display it. It looks horrible on display. It really is just a playset for a younger audience but with a collectors price tag. All my high-end Star Wars sets are able to be displayed and very nicely too. This set is awkward looking and I just do not like it in my opinion. The build itself was also kind of blah for me on a tech aspect, again for it being Master Builder (still not clear on this). Not super impressive but I admit the rooms and scenes are fun to build though. Also, this may be of interest to some but my review of this set may also have something to do with the Harry Potter Hogwarts castle I just purchased. 6000+ pieces for $400.00 (Hogwarts) but when I saw 2000+ for this set at $350.00 it was a huge turn-off. Lego maybe next time space them apart so the huge price per piece ratio is not so glaring. Anyway, this is this Lego collectors opinion and if you do enjoy the set that is awesome! For me, though I really felt like I wasted a lot of money. 1 caveat, If Lego took the Luke vs. Vader part and made that a mini set I would be all over that. Happy Building

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Betrayal by name only! Betrayal by name only! I eagerly awaited the release of this set and I was not disappointed. The size is amazing to recreate all the classic scenes from the Empire strikes back. The build is self is fairly straight forward, and very sturdy. The mini figs were very appropriate to the model and the slave and cloud car are a fantastic size that compliments the overall product. The price is a bit steep, however the use of VIP points ensured my hip pocket remained happy. I can not to see what the next master builder sets will detail, maybe time for a Yavin 4 base? Overall I am extremely pleased with this set, thanks Lego team and keep up the good work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Play Set... and that's a good thing! I have been a fan of both LEGO and Star Wars since I was five. One of my favourite locations in the Star Wars universe is Cloud City, so when this set was announced I was both excited and concerned. Excited because I finally got to have my own Cloud City. Concerned because it was a play set rather than a UCS set like I purchase nowadays. I couldn't resist though, and I am NOT disappointed. Yes, it's a play set, and guess what -- that's what makes it so great! I'm a rather reserved adult who enjoys the build experience of the UCS sets, and have them very nicely displayed in my home office, but with this set I can't help myself from actually playing with it. I'll probably tinker with designing an outer shell for it so it can be displayed more like a model when not being played with, but it's great as-is. It invites play. There are so many areas in one model covering all the key scenes. It is very smartly designed. It also has a generous number of cool and rare minifigs. So, in summary, don't hesitate if you're on the fence about this set. Go ahead and spoil your kids, or your inner child, and enjoy it for what it is -- a fantastic play set of an iconic Star Wars location!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome but pricey I love this set for what it is, but I do wish the price wasn’t so high. If it came with plates to create an enclosed cloud city for display I would agree with the price but I will say I will be playing and displaying this set for many years and I’m glad they made a better version than the original cloud city but this is not the best. Props to the designer for making this as good as it is. Thanks for the cool sets but try to not make them all so expensive.
