This is my favorite LEGO Elves set I have. When I first laid eyes on it in a LEGO magazine I knew I would be saving up for it! The trees are built on one sturdy platform and spaced perfectly, so that your elves can move around easily. First tree-The first tree is the biggest, complete with secret compartment in tree trunk, moving leaf curtains and more! The day bed surprised me-I didn't know that it could swing open to be two cushioned benches! The bridge-The bridge is my favorite part: it converts quickly and easily into a ladder. the bridge is a little hard to put together, but boy was it worth it! Second tree-This tree is smaller than the first. It had a telescope, table made out of a dish, and a bed for the panther cub. It also has a bucket that can be lowered down to the ground. I instantly fell in love with the long glittery purple chain! Ground-The ground is home to a cauldron hanging over a fire, a small stream, and two chairs and a table. Relatively simple, but fun. It also has the famous portal! The portal can be moved out of sight in the blink of an eye and I think the swirl-printed disc is quite unique. Minifigures-I should say mini "dolls." And these dolls are awesome! Azari and Farran's hair pieces are new. Azari's hair is very neat looking as it turns from red to yellow. Emily Jones has her pendent printed on her torso and comes with a pocketbook. The panther is a great addition to my Elves animals! Overall this set has NOTHING wrong with it. It is perfect. LEGO outdid themselves on this one, I must say.

Good build and long term play value

    Purchased for: Son
My son (six, but well versed in Lego building) built this set a few months ago and it continues to have long term play value. The build was straightforward but interesting. The play features such as the collapsible bridge and the chain bucket are fun without being fiddly. The best thing about this set is its capacity for long-term cooperative play. While we have been pretty deep in the Chima world I've never much cared for the amount of weapons or the oddly male dominant universe. Since the Elves elements (fire, air, earth, water) tie well into parts of Chima the Elves have had a positive effect on our play. For example, my son has built additional buildings and vehicles for the Chima phoenixes who are of course friends with Azari. If you have a kid who is into magic and fantasy play don't hesitate on the Elves sets! The strongest recommendation is from my son, who decided to spend his saved allowance recently on another Elves set (the bakery, also great!). I really hope Lego adds to the Elves collection. It has a lot of promise but I worry it's pigeonholed as a "girls" set and won't sell as well.

    The Elves Treetop !
I would recommend this to a friend!
    Purchased for: Self
This set has a very nice theme world, making new pieces colors for the foliage and using the very nice dark red color for the trees mixed with reddish brown color... There is various features such as a door to reach a envelope in the bigger tree, a bed that transform into a couch using a hinge piece and more ... The minifigs has very detailed print on them plus new hair pieces. Overall I think that this theme could be very popular and has nice play feature for children to play with ...

Best gift for those who love Night Elves in WOW
I would recommend this to a friend!
    Purchased for: Daughter
Together my daughter and I built this set and commented how amazing it is and reminds us of Darnasus in the World of Warcraft game. This set has amazing detail and was a special request seeing as it had a little purple cat that looked like a baby Nightsaber. This is an excellent set for playability, easy to understand instructions that are really pretty. I thought the tree would break apart but it is excellent and is still holding together well after 2 weeks of constant play. A brilliant set for girls and gamers. I would recommend the Epic Adventure ship as it works so well.
