  I "had" to get the Wizard of Oz characters (although I haven't seen the movie to see how they tie in), but left the store with 9 packs because a few other characters caught my attention. Remix Emmett is so cheerful and the Giraffe Guy is great. I like the new elements and how some of the characters have multiple expressions. As for the lighter-weight plastic packaging - I'm guessing it's part of Lego's commitment to be more environmentally friendly. I don't leave my minifigs in the original blind bag, so I don't see why some people are complaining.

  Fun figures, what happened to the classic package?

  The first thing my son said when he got one of these in his hand "it feels so cheap", which was his feeling about the Unikitty packages also. Would have liked to see some other figures/variants in the lineup, I guess these are marketed as a line not just for those with the sets for the Lego Movie 2. Surprised they did not do a Friends style mini doll figure in the lineup also, though, the retro singers are probably meant to fill that niche, even if the are not mini dolls. And where is the batman fig from the second half of the movie??? Guess we will see that in an upcoming set ;) TLG should do a video on why the packaging change, the CMP purchase experience is very clearly tied to that classic packaging, so why the change? I am glad they are uniformly distributed in each case, so no problem finding the fig you want. I would give these a B- rating, not as strong as TLM CMFs.

  This set of Minifigures is more than welcome in my collection. The figures overall are fantastic. The new parts and prints are wonderful. Each figure has a high amount of detail and more figures this series have double face prints which is nice to see as it gives you more options for play and display alike. In addition I definitely like this series far more than the original Lego movie series Ref: 71004. The few negatives (nit picks really) #1 Would have liked to have seen more info on the Wizard of Oz characters on the leaflet included in each bag as I’m unsure if they are part of The LEGO Movie 2 as in the Oz character are in the film or are they a little extra thing added in the movie series. Whichever it doesn’t take away how amazing the figures are. #2 Would have liked to have seen a metal beard Minifigure based on his brief appearance as a regular Minifigure in the first LEGO Movie. #3 And finally this is my main problem you’ll notice the bags in which the figures are packaged in are made of a cheaper thinner material which I can only assume is to cut costs. Now when Minifigure blind bags first came out in 2010 they only cost £1.99 GBP and are currently at £2.99 GBP. I understand inflation and what have you. But still with the bag package quality being reduced I think it’s fair to say that the RRP should be reduced to £2.50 GBP. However that slight nit pick aside the whole set of figures is fantastic and I would recommend them they are great for play and for collectors. *Please note the build time I’ve selected is building each individual Minifigure not the whole set of 20* Thanks for reading my review I hope it was of some use to you.
