Love PortalPortal and Portal 2 are 2 of my all time favorite non-LEGO games and now I have a small LEGO version of it.
The Chell figure, Companion Cube and Turret look awesome (so much so I bought a second set for non-game related MOCs -- figured I would have spent that kind of money on a custom minifig any way, so why not).
Worst part about this set is the portal gun. Looks great but man is it hard to get the figure to hold it at all and once it is in her hands it is done for. You can't twist it to pose with the figure. Once it is in place it doesn't move. Period. So get a pose and keep it because you will not want to take the gun out of her hands, because it is too much of a pain to get it back in. LEGO needs to keep in mind when making small pieces for the figs to hold the playability drop immensely when you can't actual make the figure hold the weapon/utensil (should be a smooth/hard plastic to snap in place).
The level for the game could have been a little longer, but that's just me wanting a FULL length LEGO Portal game is all.
Love that the game credits use a Portal song. Very cool.
For those complaining that there are no instructions, that's the point. you build these in game as part of the in game experience. If you want to build them outside of the game LEGO has supplied the downloads of all builds.

Testing begins in 3... 2... 1...After the Ideas set was rejected I was ready to accept that we'd never get an official LEGO Portal set- so when Portal content was announced for LEGO Dimensions I was, to put it mildly, extremely overjoyed.
The Chell minifigure is fantastic, save for the Portal Gun having a rubber handle that makes it near impossible to get in or out of her hands (it should have been a piece that clipped over an existing nozzle/tap piece for the handle). The Turret is a very accurate build, though a bit oversized. The companion cube is also a nice build. Those who don't have the game and are only interested in the build/figures will not be disappointed.
As for game content, this pack will unlock a new Portal-themed level (which is basically Portal 3) and the Portal adventure world. Also of note is that, unusually for a Dimensions set, all 3 of the game pieces in this set have an exclusive ability/ Chell can make Portals, the Cube can activate buttons, and the Turret can shoot special targets. These abilities pop up several times in other levels and adventure worlds, making it a must-have for completists.

This is statement is true.I pre ordered this alongside the game and some other packs. I thought that the included level was absolutely amazing despite requiring other characters that I did not own at the time, but now own, to see everything the level has to offer. The only problem that I, like many others, was that the portal gun mold had a rubber extension that would bend when attempting to put the thing in the hand of the Chell minfigure.

what a difficult worldI had no knowledge of the portal games before playing the levels in Lego Dimensions. This was by far the most difficult part of the Lego Dimensions game to date. I do enjoy using the character & her accessories & abilities. The puzzles were also extremely challenging to figure out in this level. If you want a challenge, this is the set for you.
