TX-130: A Republic ShadowI’m honestly not sure why this set has been given anything lower than 5 bricks all around. The price-per-brick is great; playability is awesome; two unique mini figs (live-action Aayla and Phase two gunner) help make up for the lackluster battledroids which honestly can’t be helped because they’re battledroids, I just appreciate LEGO including them; build was quite enjoyable though build time wasn’t long, but what do you expect, it’s a $20 set; AND it came out during a time where it seems a good 90% of all LEGO sets coming out are from the Galactic Civil War or the New Order eras.
If you’re a fan of the Clone Wars era or even just like the Republic; don’t miss the chance to get this set. This tank isn’t in the movies and it never even appaears in the shows. It’s a shadow tank. Digitally, it only exists through the games. It’s been nearly 10 years since this set was last released (this one is MUCH better in my opinion) and it will be a while before it’s released again, if ever.
Bonus: this set looks even more amazing when paired with pretty much any variation (though specifically the 2008 and 2013 versions) of the Republic Gunship. Which is another one of my all-time favorite Star Wars vehicles AND LEGO sets.

Great set with one big problemThis is a very awesome set by Lego. This version of the fighter tank is more accurately scaled to the minifigures, and it just really looks amazing. Lego did a great job designing the tank, and it just overall looks beautiful. Aayla Secura looks perfect, and it was great to get a live action version of her. The next figure is where my issue lies...... The clone trooper gunner looks nice, is appropriate to get in a tank set, and it is nice to finally get a clone trooper after a long time. However, I feel like a set that comes with Aayla Secura should come with her clone commander, known by many fans as commander Bly. I don't understand why Lego chose to include a clone gunner with Aayla instead of Bly, and all of us fans have been dying for lego to make more of the revenge of the sith clone commanders like Bly, Cody, and Bacara. I feel like this was the perfect set for commander Bly to make his debut in Lego form but it just didn't happen...... I am pretty disappointed about that and I hope Lego will make him and the other commanders in the future. The battle droids are a nice addition though. Overall I say its a good solid set, but it would have been ground breaking if it came with Bly.

Great small set for what is inside.I picked up this set and the Bounty Hunter Battle Pack at Walmart today. I've been building LEGO for over a decade of my life now, and I've gotten pretty fast at building. Although, as fast as I am, I still take time to notice how the set it built. I really liked how LEGO made this set really sturdy with the amount of pieces they jammed inside. Sure, it bumped up the price a bit, but I felt it to be necessary. It was an enjoyable build. It surprised me to open up the box and find two instruction booklets inside. I assumed that there would only be one. The set is (obviously) much smaller than the original which was released close to ten years ago I think. I very much like the scale and detail that was put into the set. The minifigures were pretty good. Aayla Secura had a great design. It reminded me of the version that was in LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. I also liked that the minifigs didn't have the stud shooters as guns. I really don't like them in any set. I can understand that they would use them as a play feature for younger kids, but the studs get lost super quickly, and they are so bulky... I'd almost rather replace the shooters with other parts such as colored tiles to go along with the color scheme. Overall, this set is truly wonderful. I hope to pick up the remaining sets that are NOT from the Freemakers or whatever that's called.

Great Value! At first, I thought it would end up being a disappointing brother to the 2008 Republic Fighter Tank 7679. I was very wrong. The price, for one, was really good with a price-per-piece cost of $0.082. Two exclusive minifigures make the two battle droids forgivable. This was the second time we get Aayla Secura, but without the ugly Clone Wars eyes, so it's a great thing for those who missed the older version in 2010. We've only gotten Phase-1 Clone Gunners before, so getting a Phase 2 was nice. I personally liked the technique used to make it roll so smoothly in order to give it the "hovering" look from its in-game appearance. Overall it has a nice, sleek look.
