It’s very busy in the Parisian Restaurant! As a scooter zips by, inside the waiter rushes between the tables as the nervous young man gets ready to propose with the ring! It’s just as hectic behind the scenes, with the chef busily preparing the food. This beautifully detailed building is the setting for so many stories and is a great addition to the modular building series. The Parisian Restaurant has a fully-stocked, blue and white tiled kitchen with tableware as well as a cozy apartment with pull-down bed, kitchenette and fireplace. On the top floor is the artist’s room with a studio that includes a cast iron heater, easel, paintbrush and two works of art by the aspiring artist. Outside, stairs lead down to the roof terrace lined with hanging lanterns and flowers where the diners eat alfresco-style. This amazing Parisian Restaurant model even includes a facade with croissants, clams and feather details that recapture the feel of Paris. Includes 5 minifigures: chef, waiter, girl and a romantic couple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very excellent This is my first lego set. I like it very much. Its interior and external are very refinement. When I biult it, there were a lot of surprise. It's amazing. I think I will be a lego fan because of it. Could you please open Lego stores in Netherlands? We will be very happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favourite... so far This set is simply so likeable that you have to think hard to find any cons. Ok, so I don't have many sets and this was my first modular. It doesn't matter really, because when I pay this much for a toy, I always have second thoughts regardless of its quality. Right here, I have none. This is the first time I can't think of any criteria being less than 5/5. First, the building is yummy. Quite simple really but hey, it's not Technic. Some stages may be monotonous for some people (like tiles, roof, some decorations), but they last for a few minutes and then you start doing something else. From time to time you need to stop building just to marvel at the results. That's why it took me 14 hours. The parts are usually small, but incredibly varied. The colors I like the most are olive green and dark blue. Decorative parts are wonderful. In the kitchen there are so many accessories that you'd cook yourself some dinner straight away, if you were a minifigure. Other useful parts include lots of plants, fences, tiles, windows and of course plenty of different bricks. THERE ARE NO STICKERS. Minifigures are nothing special for me. They just add to the Restaurant's playability which is quite considerable. They can cook, paint, clean windows, chase a rat, ride a bike or drink so many bottles of different brands, just to fall asleep on a nearby bench. I can guarantee you'll keep saving for another modular after getting this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Parisian Restaurant I've been wanting to get this set for a long time and when I finally got it, I, fortunately, wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed building the whole thing with so many different pieces throughout the build. It incorporated some new and interesting techniques that I had wondered how to do. Once built the restaurant looks impressive with the red carpet leading to the door where the ChezAlbert sign hangs above. The building features not common colours with the olive-green of the walls and dark blue of the roof. I like the alfresco dining as it is nicely tucked away, creating some privacy. The inside is great as well. There is plenty of room to play on the ground floor with the dining area and fully-equipped kitchen. I really liked the blue curtains and all the different components that made up the kitchen, such as the fridge and sink. I also liked the 2nd-floor apartment and top floor artist's studio and found they suited the building. They had some cool features such as an opening fireplace, and a bed that can be tucked away. I liked the minifigures that went with the set, even though their expressions were all standard, and found that they complemented the set nicely. Overall, it has been worth the wait as this set as gone past my expectations. It is my fist modular building set and I think it will go well with my expanding city and Lego collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning I had a feeling that this modular would be my favourite when it was first announced. After finishing the build, it most definitely is my favourite modular. When you look at the finished exterior, you appreciate the building's detailing and design. But when you begin to look inside, the restaurant's details will blow you away. The build: the build was challenging, with a number of complex micro builds. Paying attention to the instructions is critical and I had a few backtracking moments. There are 4 sets of numbered bags which help. This modular uses a lot of smaller pieces to create the details and a lot of different colours. One of the best aspects of the build is a floor tile modelling in the front porch that you may notice after the furnishings are added, but it did make me smile. Minifigs: you get six minifigs and a scooter. Minifigs are fairly standard for a modular, but are geared to the theme of restaurant, including romance. See the description for what figs you get. For the sake of brevity, if you love challenging builds, buy this set. The best value of the modulars in my opinion. And seeing the restaurant come to life as you build, is a real treat. The details of the restaurant carry over into the apartment and the art studio. Finally, this set has the most interesting backyard of the modulars in my opinion. I could go on and on about this build!
