Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fire Mech is a MASSIVE Success! First off, let me say that this is my first Ninjago set ever, because the theme honestly never appealed to me. But then the Movie sets came out, and something about them really intrigued me, especially the Fire Mech, so I thought I'd give it a try. And I have to say, I am blown away by this build. The size is huge, something that works just as well as a display model than a toy. Allow me to list some pros/cons: PROS -Size is impressive, but not too bulky either, meaning it doesn't want to fall over, which impressed me -The little play features like the disc shooters, the cockpit, and there's even an area on the legs to store Kai's swords -The color scheme is fantastic -The minifigure selection is great, you get two ninjas (Zane and Kai who both have great detail), two baddies, and two civilians, which could fit into a City -Price to part ratio is excellent, this is a great deal CONS -Stickers, I always prefer printed elements -The mech doesn't have working knee joints, which I would have liked, but at the same time I think had it had the knee joints, it would fall over continuously, so it's a con that's not really a con Overall, I'm very impressed by this set, and as someone who didn't know Ninjago very well, I will surely buy more soon. I highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FIRE!!! First I wanted to say this whole lineup of sets for The Lego Ninjago Movie is fantastic, I had my doubts at first, however once I picked up most of the sets that changed very quickly! This set is fantastic I love the details and features! The playability is a little lacking with the legs. The main thing I love about this set is that it's HUGE, like I can't recall a bigger lego mech ever! Besides the function of the legs this set is on Fire!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Burnanating the countryside I picked this up after a rough week at work, and a little bit of giant fighting robot went a long way towards improving my mood. This has a great part-to-price ratio, and the final product is quite large - comparable to your standard combined transforming robot team. It is a solid, well-designed mech that gets plenty of style points from me for its firefighter-like helmet and cockpit, faux-pistons on the back of its legs, and working toe joints. It's not perfect - there aren't any knees, the legs don't move quite as far outward as I'd like, the shoulder joints sometimes struggle to hold up the weight of the arms, and I kinda miss not having some sort of real hand option, but these are minor issues in the long run.
