Amazing set & great investment
Okay I'm just going to say it: this is the best LEGO set ever. The LEGO designers are quite clearly big fans of the Simpsons as this set is filled with detail and easter eggs. This set looks gorgeous with every room looking just perfect to it's cartoon counterpart and also has that polished look with LEGO using flat tiles instead of studded tiles which makes it slightly more difficult to display figures on (as figures easily fall over on flat tiles) but looks incredible. There really isn't any flaw I can give about this set other then this set is missing the attic and basement however these aren't essential. This set is perfect and if you have collected the mini-figures like I have then you can make every room look like it's in a different episode. I was in debate as to what was the best way to display this set as the exterior looks brilliant but I decided to open it up and display the interior (would love to have shared pictures but website wouldn't accept pictures from my I phone). I would recommend this set to anyone if your a LEGO fan, Simpsons fan or even if you're not as we know LEGO is a great investment and when this set eventually retires it will for sure appreciate in value dramatically. In my evaluation in the box about 10 years after this set retires it will probably be worth over £1000 but this is LEGO and is made to be enjoyed & played with.

LEGO plus Simpsons equals awesome!
Last year, rumors would have it that some Simpsons LEGO Minifigures or even one or more Simpsons sets would be launched in 2014, but when I saw that the product was in fact going to be the Simpsons family house as well as all the family (and "neighborino" Flanders), I didn't really know what to think; surely this had to be too good to be true? But no, here it is, standing in all its awesomeness on my desk, and it's truly a blast!
Fun to build (although a LONG build, took 9 hrs), fun to play around with, and play is indeed made easy seeing that all roof parts are removable as this also applies to the 2nd floor above the living room.
One might well argue that the house isn't 100% accurate compared to the Simpsons house in the TV show, but I wouldn't worry too much about that, the LEGO version turned out just excellent. There are many cool details in the house (just love the "Property of Ned Flanders" stickers on the items Homer has "borrowed") and it just obvious that this set has been treated with the love and respect that it deserves.
Sure, I do miss Santa's Little Helper, Grandpa Simpson and Lisa's "Saxomophone", but all in all, you get a great set here, and this is my absolute favorite LEGO set by far. Exceptional work, LEGO!

So much fun!
The Simpsons House was my second Lego build. When I saw this at the store I wanted it and ended up going back to get it. I worked on it for 6 days just to prolong the experience :) It was so much much fun to build. LEGO's has been such a therapeutic experience for me. They just make me feel good from start to finish. It is so much fun to look at all of the details. It makes me want to add a yard to it (tree house etc as others have mentioned). I was a little surprised there wasn't a saxophone for Lisa although I was just has happy with the camera. No dog either. Happy with all of the figures and accessories except for the choice of material for Marge and Lisa's clothing. It's stiff and has gaps. Thin felt or a different type of material/design with 2 holes seems like it would have worked out better. I had read a few reviews that mentioned issues attaching the garage at the end so I attached it to the wall in the beginning. As soon as the pieces of the wall were built up where I could attach it, I did. It didn't hinder the remainder of the build in any way and I highly recommend doing so. I think it was the right decision for me because you could see where structural chaos could happen when trying to piece them together if you wait until the end. It takes some pressure to fit those 2 pieces together and if you aren't holding the wall in the right place, it has the potential to get ugly :) I love how creative Lego is in their creations and the way they use the pieces. The beds are so cute. The bathroom is awesome! Amazing to see how they transform into these amazing structures. The roof pieces are easily removed for viewing as well as the second floor which reveals the living room! Solid build and the the perfect size. I can't wait for May 1st when the Kwik-E-Mart is available!! Looking forward to more in this series! Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Not what I expected
I have been getting the creator modular city sets, and compared to those I do not like this set. I really like the Simpsons, and I appreciate what Lego did here, but unfortunately it does not go with my city at all. For one, this is a huge building, so you have a family home that is probably larger than most of your multi-dwelling units in your city (unless you have the fire station or built a personalized skyscraper or something - but still, the garage is larger than the seasons home).
However, that is not even my biggest problem with it. Its just awkward. There are soooooo many pieces that are rattling around, falling out of place, and making it hard to store and keep track of them all.
Bottom line is: It feels more like a doll house than any of the other lego sets I have had yet, and while I am a huge fan of the Simpons, I just don't dig the vibe of this set. However, it does have a lot of neat details, as it needs to to attract people who love a almost 30-year-old show, and for me personally, this killed it, because the appeal of lego is that weird everything-in-a-tiny-area and complex-objects-made-w-simple-pieces vibe and this set is HUGE and has complex, custom molded pieces out the wazoo, and it just doesn't feel like Lego to me.
